Referring to the list of G/L accounts compiled during Step 4 (Identifying and/or Creating TeleTracker Online Required G/L Accounts Within QuickBooks), your next step is to teach TeleTracker Online about your chart of accounts in each of the following places:
From the View menu, choose Preferences.
Click the ‘Global Preferences’ button at the top of the form.
Override any existing “9999” G/L accounts and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account numbers in their designated fields.
The following steps must be performed for each existing Location.
From the View menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Accounting tab.
Override any existing “9999” G/L accounts and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account numbers in their designated fields.
Repeat these steps for each existing TeleTracker Online Location.
The following steps must be performed for each existing Revenue Department.
From the Master Files menu, choose Revenue Departments.

Override any existing “9999” G/L accounts and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account numbers in their designated fields.
Repeat these steps for each existing Revenue Department.
The following steps must be performed for each existing Sales Tax Item.
From the Master Files menu, choose Sales Tax Items.
Choose an existing Sales Tax Item.
Override any existing “9999” G/L account and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account number in the A/P G/L Account field.
Enter the corresponding agency name (QuickBooks Vendor Name) in the G/L Vendor Name field (this information must be entered exactly as it appears in your QuickBooks company file).
Repeat these steps for each existing Sales Tax Item.
The following steps must be performed for each existing Coupon.
From the Master Files menu, choose Coupons.
Choose an existing Coupon.
Override any existing “9999” G/L account and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account number in the General Ledger Accounts section of this screen.
Repeat these steps for each existing Coupon.
The following steps must be performed for each existing Reason.
From the Master Files menu, choose Reasons.
Choose an existing Reason.
Override any existing “9999” G/L account and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account number in the G/L Account field.
Repeat these steps for each existing Reason.
The following steps must be performed for each existing Service Provider.
From the Master Files menu, choose Service Providers.
Choose an existing Service Provider
Click on the ‘Accounting’ tab and override any existing “9999” G/L accounts and enter your company’s corresponding G/L account numbers in their designated fields. *At this time, only the ‘Customer Rebates’ and ‘Deposits’ fields are active within TeleTracker Online. Although the remaining fields are currently inactive, please populate every field, as they will be activated in a future upgrade.
Repeat these steps for each existing Service Provider.
After you have configured each of the above G/L accounts, you should be able to delete the ‘9999’- TELETRACKER SUSPENSE GL CODE (or applicable, decremented number) account from TeleTracker Online and your QuickBooks company file:
From the Master Files menu, choose G/L Accounts.
Select the G/L Account “9999” and click the delete button.
Finally, delete G/L Account “9999” in your QuickBooks company file.
